1. General description
The 74AHCV541A is an 8-bit buffer/line driver with 3-state outputs and Schmitt trigger
inputs. The device features two output enables (OE
1 and OE2). A HIGH on OEn causes
the associated outputs to assume a high-impedance OFF-state.
Inputs ar e overvolt age tolerant. This fea ture allows the use of these de vices as translators
in mixed voltage environment s.
The data (An) and control (OE
n) inputs include Schmitt trigger inputs, capable of
transforming slowly changing input signals into sharply defined, jitter-free output signals.
This device is fully specified for partial Power-down applications using I
OFF
.
The I
OFF
circuitry disables the ou tp u t, pr eve n tin g the damaging backflow current through
the device when it is powered down.
